HOURS & AVAILABILITY

I work Wednesday through Saturday and occasionally Tuesday by appointment at The Torchbearer in Providence, RI. The address to the shop is 755 Westminster Street. Parking is available on the street in front or around the shop.

 

My availability usually depends on the week, but I try my best to accommodate each appointment as quickly as possible. Normally I'm able to see everyone regardless of their request within 10 days. I don't close my books and I'll consider any design request or style. The only styles I do not offer are watercolor and color realism.

LARGE PROJECTS

 

​If you're enquiring about a larger project (i.e. sleeve, backpiece, etc.) I ask that you be available to come into the studio for a consultation ahead of booking your appointment. Please let me know ahead of time if you are traveling from out of state/country so we can set up a time for an online consultation. At the consultation I'll be able to review any references you might have as well as trace and photograph the space you're looking to tattoo and discuss the composition with you in person. A lot goes into the preparation of your design and it's important that I have all the information before I sit down to do the drawing. In some instances, it may be possible with some Japanese designs that I'll be drawing portions on the tattoo directly on the day of your appointment. While rare, when this occurs, I'll normally still have a rough design for you to review the day of your appointment before we begin the session.

ONE SITTING TATTOOS

 

​​For smaller one session tattoos I ask that you complete the request form in full. Please be specific in your request. Include an estimate on size, a specific area of the body (i.e. inner right bicep, back of left calf), and whether you are looking for color, black and grey, or just linework. I generally ask for a photo of the area you're looking to have tattooed ahead of time so I can include the placement of the design as part of the drawing process. If there are already existing tattoos in the area that may compete with your new idea please let me know. When photographing the space please make sure the photo is centered, flat, and parallel to the area and includes any preexisting tattoos. I've found it more helpful if you ask a friend or family member to take the photo for you. If the tattoo is going on or near a part of the body that would be considered private/personal, please let me know that ahead of time and I will book you a consultation to come in so I can trace the area without a photograph.

CUSTOM PREDESIGNED TATTOOS

 

If you're unsure what you'd like to get tattooed or are just looking to collect I have close to 100 designs ready to go and update them weekly. These designs range in style and size and are an absolute labor of love. They are 100% custom and will never be replicated in the future.  Normally these designs are hung up in my booth as well as viewable on IG in my highlights section.  If you are booking ahead of time please let me know that you're looking for this option so I can remove the design. If your walking in without an appointment please let me know you'd like to review the designs. If you like a drawing but would prefer a different colorway or black and grey that is totally fine. Some of the designs can be scaled down or up depending on placement. None of the designs are available for cover ups/ blast overs.

REFERNCES 

                                                                                                                                

If you have references for the design, please feel free to include them once we start communicating, but please also be aware that I work best when I'm able to use those references towards an original design. ​​All designs are custom and are available to be viewed at the start of your appointment. As a policy I do not email designs in advance.

  PRICING  

                                                             

All tattoos that require multiple sessions are normally booked at an hourly rate. For sleeves and backpieces and other large-scale work I usually complete the outline during the first session and afterwords work with you to plan out sessions that make sense both project and budget wise. I tend to limit session work to 4 or 5 hours when possible. Smaller single session appointments are priced according to size, detail, and placement as a flat rate. The shop minimum is $100. I work with all types of different budgets so please feel free to include yours in the request.  To me, money is second to giving you an excellent tattoo, and we can work together to make it happen. Most of the time I can give you an estimate ahead of time for how long I think the tattoo will take and how much it may cost.  I DO NOT charge a drawing fee or charge for time drawing directly on, that stuff is silly.

DEPOSIT

                                                                            

Before an appointment date is set I require a non-refundable deposit. Deposit amounts will vary depending on the size of the tattoo. If you're booking a multiple session project the deposit will be included in the price for the final session. If the tattoo is a one shot design it will be included in the price the day of. If for any reason you cannot make your appointment I ask that you please inform me 48 hours in advance. Late notices and no call/no shows will forfeit their deposits and be asked to leave a new one before rescheduling barring special circumstance.

AGE

                                                                                                                                                        

The minimum age requirement to have a tattoo done in the state of Rhode Island is 18 years old. There is NO parental consent laws in place in the State of Rhode Island. Inquiries into scheduling a tattoo appointment after you have turned 18 are fine, but no procedure will be done prior to your 18th birthday.
